Here at heat there are a few mantras we like to live by to ensure we lead rich and fulfilled lives. One being that any celeb's exposed peen, huge, hairless or mysteriously on show shall be discussed in great detail.
Another is that the sanctity of any One Direction member – past or present – shall never be called in to question.
One fan apparently didn’t get the memo.
Poor Niall Horan was left a little red-faced when a Canadian student gave the star a reality check during an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show.
The Irish singer was taking part in a radio Q&A when a student called Eve rang the show. Apparently, Eve was in class during the call, prompting show host Kyle to say to her: "Tell [your fellow students] you're on the line with Niall right now and they will totally lose their minds, go on."
Are you ready for the awkward bit?
Eve completely mugged off Niall and basically all of One Direction with one blunt reply: "But I live in Canada, no one really cares..."

To make matters one billion times worse, as Niall began nervously laughing Kyle kept rubbing salt in the wound and dragged out the embarrassing moment for far longer than necessary.
He continued: "What do you mean they wont care, freaking Niall's on the phone!" Then, co-host Jackie got involved and piped up: "Oooh, that's awkward."
Yeah, just a bit Jackie.
The show then proceeded to reach peak awkwardness on the cringe-factor scale, as Kyle was determined to point out how uncomfortable the situation had become. He even highlighted the fact that the show was live, so there could be no saving grace for Niall in the editing.
Don’t worry Niall, we still care. We really, really care.
