And it's like music to our ears

The X Factor is back on our screens in a few months (BIG WOO) and with it comes a breath of fresh – and original – air. The one and only Sharon Osbourne will be back where she belongs behind the judges desk, constantly throwing major shade at Simon and generally giving absolutely zero f*cks.

We hope.

The panel has suffered a bit of a hammering this year, with Caroline Flack and Olly Murs getting the elbow, and Cheryl F-V, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw waving the talent show farewell.

And now Simon has said actual words that mean the fiery X Factor favourite Sharon is coming back for reals.

“I think she and I are going to work on a show together in the UK,” he told The Sun.

“We mainly have a love relationship. It is always back to love.”

He’s picked his words VERY carefully, but we’re about 99% sure he’s talking about the X Factor. We’re already getting nostalgic about all the times Sharon put the music mogul in his place with her sharp tongue, so don’t disappoint us Simon.

The Flurs (Flack and Murs, obvs) shaped hole in our heart has been filled by the darling Dermot O’Leary, and Louis Walsh will be sitting back in to his old chair, probs putting through all the awful-but-hilarious acts (it’s thanks to him that we have the wonderful Jedward, remember?).

The last empty stool is reportedly going to Nicole Scherzinger, and we cannot contain ourselves. It’ll be like stepping into a time machine and going back into a weird mash-up of the late noughties.

SHAMAZING.
