Bit harsh?

There's a lot of people we'd like to ban from Manchester for the pure fun of it (not that we have anything remotely resembling that power), but Olly Murs certainly ain't one of them.

There is literally nothing not to like about Olly Murs – he's Olly Murs!

After cancelling a gig at Manchester's Olympic and Paralympic parade show on Monday (because his people said backstage was a "shambles"), a local councillor apparently banned him for playing any future official events in the city.

Which seems a bit harsh if you ask us.

And Olly's now hit back at the councillor (fair), and blasted him for being a bit of a dicklord (our word, not his).

"I was going to the gig and I actually said, ‘Obviously, if the Olympics runs over, we can’t go to the football," he said during a Facebook Live event with The Sun.

"But on the day my management and my team were having issues behind the scenes with different things. It just wasn’t organised.

"I never pull out of gigs. Ever. It’s not my style. But I trust my management.

"So when they ring me up saying, ‘Olly, we are pulling you from this gig. We don’t want you to do it. It’s all a bit of a shambles’, I just said, ‘Well if that’s your decision then I trust you’. What annoys me is when someone says something about me that is wrong."

In other Olly Murs news, he's on Celebrity Gogglebox TONIGHT – YAY!

WITH NIALL HORAN – YAAAAAY.

The episode is in aid of Cancer Research, and will also star footballers Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Olly said in a statement: "I’m such a big fan of Gogglebox so being able to be on it with Niall is amazing, especially when it’s for such a brilliant cause like Stand Up To Cancer.

"We all need to play a part in beating cancer so let’s all join together and raise as much as we can."

And Niall added: "Olly and I had a great laugh filming Gogglebox and hope that we can raise as much as possible for such a great cause.

"With every penny raised going towards finding cures for cancer, we’re honoured to be a part of Stand Up to Cancer’s fundraising this year."

CELEBRITY GOGGLEBOX IS ON TONIGHT (21 OCTOBER) AT 9PM ON CHANNEL 4
