This morning, TOWIE's golden couple Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna confirmed that they would be 'taking a break' from their relationship for the time being.

Relations between Megs and Pete have been fraught ever since an ALMIGHTY row erupted after the National Television Awards back in January. Poor Megan was pictured fleeing the O2 in tears after a row with her other half.
And in the brand new trailer for TOWIE series 20 (yes, TWENTY), Megan McKenna implies that things between the pair aren't at all rosy; revealing that their relationship is just 80% arguing.
Let's not forget that Megan's world was smashed into tiny little pieces when it was revealed that Pete had been having a full blown textual affair with his ex, Jacqui Ryland late last year.
A lot for one relationship to take, tbh.
The couple were last seen together on February 25th, where Megan McKenna was seen raging because her Uber was late. Lol. we've all been there babe.
Pete also tried to reach out to Megan earlier in the week, tweeting her a simple "Love you @Megan_Mckenna_" with a heart shaped emoji."
But Megan didn't respond.
We finally got some answers this morning when Megan McKenna, Bobby Norris and Kate Wright appeared on This Morning to have a chinwag about the brand new series of TOWIE.
However, Ruth Langsford revealed that Pete Wicks was meant to be joining them on the sofa but had cancelled his appearance last minute.
Naughty.
Ruth told the viewers: "Pete was supposed to be here today, can you not be in the same room as him?"
Megan looked awkward and replied: "It’s complicated.
"It’s complicated at the moment with me and him. It’s not the best time for us to be together."
Ruth then asked Megan how she would have felt if Pete had joined the interview:
"I’d be professional. Out of respect for each other we won’t speak about each other. But right now it’s complicated."
Eeeeeeeek.
Pete remained silent all morning, and it took until later on in the day for him to break his Twitter silence.
Clearly feeling chipper, Pete tweeted: "Friday feeling..."
He also chose to speak out about James Lock's appearence on Good Morning Britain earlier this morning. Pete's TOWIE co-star was confronted after posting a video to Snapchat that saw him driving whilst using his phone.
Pete said: "Just caught up with you @JamesLock__ on @GMB - proud of you my man."
Surely that could have been the perfect time to explain his reasons for not appearing alongside his now-sort-of-ex-girlfriend Megan? Or is there waaaaay more to this story than meets the eye?
To be honest, we can't wait to find out.
