Last week, the world of romance came tumbling down when it emerged that Pete Wicks, TOWIE's self-styled gentleman, had been sending flirty messages to his ex-squeeze behind Megan McKenna's back.
Jacquie Ryland, who dated Pete earlier this year, spoke to The Sun, showing them messages she'd received from Pete when he was on holiday with Megan including some that were apparently too explicit for the 'paper to print (we totally would have printed them – just saying).
Megan confirmed that the rumours were truein a heart-breaking Snapchat in which she spoke candidly, telling fans: "You know what I’m going to actually tell you guys on here what happened. I actually found some messages on Pete’s phone a few weeks ago and they weren’t good but I thought I’d give him another chance, as I feel like everyone deserves a second chance.
"The way that he was speaking to me was that he was really sorry and didn’t mean it. Obviously it’s not right that he was messaging other girls but he told me it was just innocent flirting.
"I did know about some messages that were going about and obviously that’s hurt a lot. That a boy that I thought loved me and I loved could be with me and doing that at the same time."
Talking about Jacqui, Megan went on: "But then like, today, for some girl to sell a story about it, and for me to see messages that I hadn’t seen before. That f*cking hurts.
"(Jacqui had) obviously seen that me and him were trying to move on and obviously he’s bought me nice things and I put it on Instagram and Twitter and its rubbed her up the wrong way.
"But just to clear those rumours up I didn’t know all those messages were going about but its fucking hurtful and heart-breaking. I just wish none of this had happened really. Life’s a c*nt."
Now the woman Pete was text-cheating with, has broken her social media silence on the affair (maybe) and retweeted: "So many over dramatic people that need to worry about themselves rather than other people all the time."
Could this be a dig at Megan? A dig at people losing their cool over the affair (yeah, guilty)? Unrelated? NOTHING IS UNRELATED.
Pete and Megan have been filmed having a massive row for TOWIE so it shouldn't be too long until we find (even more of) the gory details.
