Peter Andre has denied posting an insensitive tweet following the terrorist attack at Ariana Grande's Manchester Arena concert last night (May 22nd).

22 people have died with 59 left injured after a suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device just minutes after Ariana's show ended. Peter faced criticism from fans after a tweet promoting his work with Slimming World was posted from his account as devastating news of the attack broke; something he's since offered his 'sincere apologies' for.

Peter shared a message about his Slimming World campaign earlier today, writing: "I’m so excited to be supporting @SlimmingWorld’s 2017 #SWClothesThrow, which raises money for @CR_UK – a charity close to my heart!"

Fans then branded Peter 'insensitive;' with one tweeting 'I think this tweet could have waited Pete' and another saying 'Really?! This really isn't important! What's happened & is currently all over the news is important! So insensitive #PrayForManchester.'

Peter initially tweeted of his sadness for the vicims and their loved ones, saying: "So so shocked to hear about Manchester. Beyond belief. Our Thoughts with the victims and their families. Very sad day today."

He's since explained the Slimming World tweet; denying he posted it personally and offering fans his 'sincere apologies.'

Peter explained: "So so shocked to hear about Manchester. Beyond belief. Our Thoughts with the victims and their families. Very sad day today.

"My only tweet that I sent today was 7 hrs ago about terrible news.

"My sincere apologies. It was a scheduled tweet by the team. All I'm thinking about today is last nights atrocities."
