This year has not only been a time of grief, upset and Great British Bake Off disasters, but also of busybodies starting useless campaigns against reality TV shows.

We've said it before and we'll say it again. If ya don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT.

First there was the campaign to get Celebrity Big Brother off the tele, and now there's a petition to replace Honey G, real name Anna Georgette Gilford (of course), with Samantha Atkinson.

Honey G is that contestant who's the next Jay Z, the same vibe as Nicki Minaj, hails from north Weezy (Harrow) and is the all-round best thing to ever happen to the show.

She's obviously a novelty act (and a darn good'un at that), but The X Factor always has novelty acts – and where would it be without the likes of Jedward? AND RYLAN CLARK-NEAL?

Honey G was originally dropped at the Six Chair Challenge, but was brought back as a wildcard and taken through to live shows with Sharon Osbourne.

Unfortunately, this meant that Samantha (who was fab) lost out.

Samantha's cousin Yasemin Kara then set up the petition asking the show to replace Honey G with Samantha.

Alongside the petition, she wrote: "I and thousands of other X factor viewers feel she was robbed of her place on live shows tonight....when Sharon osbourne didn't place her in the top 12....then sign and show X factor bosses and Itv that they have made a huge mistake!!! Let's get Sami back as the wild card for X factor 2016."

But Samantha, very graciously, has distanced herself from the campaign, telling BBC Radio Humberside that Honey G "deserves her right to be in the competition as much as anyone else" and added that the two of them had become "friends" during their time on the show.

Any chance of getting both of them on, X Factor?
