In the most exciting baby news since little baby Bear Payne, it was recently announced that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child.

They confirmed the news in a statement on Twitter, which you can read below.

This will be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child. They already have George, 4, and Charlotte, 2.

It was recently reported that Prince William may have given away the due date, as he apparently said at the National Mental Health and Policing conference in Oxford earlier this month: "Thank you, it's very good news. There's not much sleep going on at the moment."

He continued that "It was a bit anxious to start with," but that they can "start celebrating this week".

Many people took this to mean they’d be approaching the 12-week mark, which would mean the baby is due in mid-March, 2018.

BUT, Prince William just dropped the biggest hint yet that the due date could be even sooner.

During a visit with Spitalfields Crypt Trust, an east London charity dealing with homelessness and addiction, Prince William reportedly told one midwife: "All the best with the midwifery, I may see you sooner than you think."

People goes on to report that the Prince, as well as Prince George and Princess Charlotte, received wooden owls as a gift.
