It turns out it wasn't just us who were a little bit pissed off with Liam Payne for going solo(WHAT ABOUT ONE DIRECTION?) as it turns out that Simon Cowell is naaaat happy.

If you'll remember (you should - it was a CRAZY day), Liam informed the world of the news via his Twitter account, posting: "Happy to have signed to @CapitolUK. They have an amazing history of artists, I hope I can follow in their footsteps."

All well and good – apart from the one fundamental problem. Capitol is NOT Simon Cowell's label Syco (aka Liam's roots).

RUDE.

Simon almost immediately threw some serious shade Liam's way by omitting his name from a speech about loyalty.

At an America's Got Talent conference last week, Simon said: "We're in touch with them all. The great thing about these boys – well not all of them but most of them – [is] they are incredibly loyal and you don't always expect that.

"Niall, Harry, Louis – amazing."

OH SNAP, SIMON.

But things have now got less shady, more just downright angry – as Simon has openly criticised Liam for the move.

Speaking to The Sun, Simon said: "It's a bit annoying if I am honest with you – mainly because it is another label who has not got your artist who you worked with for so many years.

"But that is the music business, unfortunately. I don't think anyone else from the band will do that."

Simon seemed to suggest that Liam's departure from Syco may have something to do with Harry Stylessigning a solo deal with the label.

He said: "But I guess he read about Harry [Styles]'s deal and thought we weren't interested. My impression was that he wasn't in any hurry to make a record because he discussed this last year. He was more into songwriting."

WE MISS IT WHEN THEY WERE ALL A BIG HAPPY FAMILY. EVEN ZAYN.
