The X Factor is hit with controversy more times than Louis Walsh tells people they're like a young member of Westlife, but even by its standards this year has been pretty craaaazy.
There was that living doll Sada Vidoo already being famous, Bradley off of Bradley and Ottavia calling the show "boring and shit", and not forgetting the disturbing revelation that the welcome party was apparently some kind of mega orgy.
The latest of these cock-ups regards that girl who appeared to storm into the audition room to gate crash another act's performance slot. Dance teacher Kirsty Murphy ran in after she apparently became scared it was getting too late for her to sing.
She then sang Alicia Keys' If I Ain't Got You, which was well received by the judges.
But eagle eyed viewers noticed that she was wearing a microphone, meaning that she must have been all mic'd up and ready to go before running into the room on a whim.
It was probably a set-up, basically.
"Sooo staged lol #XFactor" wrote one Twitter user, and another: "This is so fake it's hilarious."
Simon Cowell told her she had "balls" for doing the stunt, and that he liked her "sheer determination".
And Kirstly later explained: "I was with my mum and we saw a door labelled 'Judges Room’ in front of us.
"I said to my mum ‘I’m just going to go in there’ and at first she was shocked and said 'no you can’t!' but then she switched and said, ‘Yes you can, get in!’ and she actually pushed me in.
"When mum opened the door, I couldn’t see the judges so thought I should just go for it, it was now or never."
But even if it was staged, The X Factor has got AT LEAST another three years in the pipeline, so we're guessing they're not too concerned about the backlash.
