Spencer Matthews

When Spencer Matthews agreed to appear on This Morning (this morning), he probably didn't think things would get THIS awks.

Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby quizzed the ex-Made In Chelsea star on everything from his steroids scandal to Pippa Middleton, and there was one question that nearly made us spit out our tea.

In case you don't know, Spencer's brother James is engaged to Pippa Middleton, sister of Kate Middleton aka our future queen.

We know she might not actually be queen, but whatever, we can dream.

Spencer was talking about his charity work for the Michael Matthews Foundation, which raises money for children in remote areas. See, Spencer does have a heart!

Spenny was chatting about the time he spent in Tanzania, helping to rebuild schools in the country for three months, when Schofe asked about Spencer's brother James climbing the Matterhorn to raise money.

If you're asking "the Matter-what?", don't worry, we Googled for you – the Matterhorn is a mountain in Europe.

Well, James climed it. So naturally Philip asked "When James climbed the Matterhorn – of course, him being engaged to Pippa Middleton – did he take Pippa up the Matterhorn?"

Ummmm….. that sounds wrong.

Spencer innocently replied "I believe he must have done. Probably".

Classic Holly struggled to hold a smile back.

AWKS. We hope there's no royal repercussions for Phil.

Spencer is also set to take on The Jump, which has the highest rate of contestant injuries, well, ever. He doesn't sound scared, telling Phil and Holly: "I think a bit of risk is always good and makes it more exciting. If you do hurt yourself, you hurt yourself. You’ve just got to get up and carry on."

He's not the only Made In Chelsea star to land himself in trouble lately – Olivia Bentley was spotted doing something pretty naughty on camera.
