After what felt like the longest pregnancy known to man (but was actually just pretty normal) Stephanie Davis gave birth to her son, Caben-Albi George, on 13 January.

Throughout the pregnancy, and even after the birth, Steph's ex Jeremy McConnell has questioned and denied that he is the father – at one point he claimed Steph wasn't even pregnant.

There have also been claims that Ex On The Beach's Joshua Ritchie and Geordie Shore's Scotty T could be the baby' dad, but that's a whoooooole different story. You can read more about that here and here.

Anyway, since first demanding a paternity test, Jeremy has remained pretty silent on the matter. However, he has now said he does believe he is Caben's father but has BEGGED Stephanie for a DNA test.

Speaking to The Sun he explained: "I do believe I am the father. I want the baby to be mine, I can see a resemblance.

"I never said the baby wasn’t mine, all I said was that there was a doubt because she was with other men in the first two weeks of April."

After a series of dramatic rows and being on/off for a while, Steph and Jezza split for good at the end of April and they haven’t seen each other since. Steph rang Jeremy a month later to tell him she was pregnant.

About hearing the news Jez said: "I was delighted. I was buzzing. I told her I loved her and I would be there for her. My initial reaction was to go straight to her… but I didn’t.

“Maybe I regret it a little now, but I know I’ve done the right thing."

However, he also added that if the baby was his he would be 'civil' with Steph and is desperate to find out.

But he does not agree with the way she is 'parading' Caben around, adding: "She doesn’t want me involved. Everything I see it’s all about ‘me and the baby’.

"She’s parading him around like he was the FA Cup. Stephanie is living off me and the baby, simple."

He also explained that he just wants 'clarification' that the baby is definitely his.

Jeremy is due to appear on This Morning, today.
