Celebrity Big Brother's Jeremy McConnell has now officially spoken out about Stephanie Davis' pregnancy news - by releasing a statement pleading with her to stop drinking and stating that having a child will not fix their already broken relationship.

In a lengthy post that Jeremy uploaded to Twitter, he finally hits back at his ex; just days after Stephanie posted and deleted an Instagram message saying she's pregnant with Jeremy McConnell's baby and accused him of wanting nothing more to do with her.

Jeremy has insisted he will take responsibility for his actions regardless of whether there is truth to the claims (insiders have told The Mirror that Steph HAS taken pregnancy tests and is 100% pregnant.)

He wrote: "First of all I think its ridiculous this being on social media as its no-one's business.

"But this is what I've to deal with and clear my name.

"Just to clear if what is circulating is true, I'll always be responsible for my actions and I explained to Steph I'll speak to her, and do everything for her, if she stops drinking and partying knowing she's 'pregnant'."

He added: "I'm sick of tit for tat but I won't let anyone slander me, I haven't been ideal in the relationship whatsoever, I'm trying to move on peacefully, it's a shock to most but a kid can't fix a broken relationship."

Sheeesh.

Over in camp Steph - who revealed that she wanted to take a break from social media to focus on herself - things have been relatively quiet and upbeat following Jeremy's statement.

There have been no deleted tweets but there has been a pretty deep Instagram quote.

Steph has also liked a few fan tweets that imply that she's not at all happy with Jez's comments and acknowledged one that stated that she would 'be a wonderful mummy one day'.

In fact, Steph's remaining pretty positive about the whole thing.

Let's hope these two sort things out properly sooner rather than later.
