Jeremy McConnell CHARGED with assaulting Stephanie Davis

Jeremy McConnell has been charged with assaulting his on/off girlfriend Stephanie Davis at her home and will appear in court tomorrow, it has been reported.

A police spokesman said, according The Sun: “Merseyside Police can confirm Jeremy, 27 years, of Swords, Ireland has been charged with assault and criminal damage following an incident in Rainhill on 9 March 2017.

“He is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 10 May 2017.”

It was reported in March that Jeremy McConnell was being investigated by Merseyside Police over claims he assaulted a woman in Liverpool last week,

A complaint was apparently made on March 9th with the alleged female victim providing a police statement.

A police spokesperson said: "Merseyside Police can confirm a report was received of an assault at a property on Thursday 9 March.

"Officers were contacted on Sunday, 12 March and an investigation into the incident is on-going.

"At this time no arrests have been made."

It was then reported that Stephanie Davis, Jeremy's on/off girlfriend and the mother of his son Caben-Albi, has been named as Jeremy's alleged victim.

According to The Mirror, Stephanie made the complaint last Sunday when she gave a statement to the police.

A representative for Jeremy said at the time: "Jeremy denies any wrong doing, however he is fully cooperating with the police in their investigations."
