The confirmed celebrity contestants so far are:

Simon Rimmer

Celebrity chef and Sunday Brunch host is the latest recruit for Strictly Come Dancing 2017.

Joe McFadden

Scottish actor Joe is best known for his role as Raf di Lucca on Holby City

Reverend Richard Coles

The latest star to be confirmed for the show is Reverend Richard Coles, Church of England priest, journalist and former Communards singer.

Ruth Langsford

Ruth is a presenter on ITV’s This Morning, alongside her husband Eamonn Holmes. Speaking about going on the show Ruth said: “I have dreamt about doing Strictly for so long, I can’t quite believe my dream has come true!”

Davood Ghadami

Davood plays Albert Square’s resident ladies man Kush Kazemi in EastEnders.

Mollie told Nick Grimshaw on Radio 1’s breakfast show she’s a huge fan of Strictly and “can’t wait to get into the sequins”.

Brian Conley

A source told The Sun comedian Brian is “a born performer and really knows how to get a crowd going given his years of experience playing Buttons in panto.”

Other rumoured contestants include X Factor winner Alexandra Burke and former Gogglebox star Scarlett Mofatt.

Gemma Atkinson

Gemma is Key 103's breakfast presenter, and previously starred in Emmerdale.

When is Strictly Come Dancing back on TV?

An official start date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but normally each series starts at the end of September.

How can I watch Strictly Come Dancing?

Strictly is on BBC One and is split into two parts, with the main show usually aired on Saturday evening at around 7pm and the results show following on Sunday at a similar time.

Who will be presenting Strictly this year?

There’s been no official confirmation yet, but there’s no suggestion that dynamic duo Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daley won’t be returning to our screens.

Who won Strictly Come Dancing last year?

TV Presenter Ore Oduba, known for his sports broadcasting – who was paired up with Karen Clifton on Strictly, the sister-in-law of Joanne Clifton.
