Rumours has it former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has given Jodie Kidd his seal of approval to now present the BBC car show. And they’ve been in the pub discussing things – Jodie had a pint and Clarkson had a wine.
Clarkson was seen meeting with the 36-year-old - who currently presents The Classic Car Show on Channel 5 - in a London pub yesterday.
They were then later met by former GMTV host Penny Smith. What does this mean? Could Jodie and Penny BOTH be hosting? Are we going to see an all-female presenting line up? OMG we are really excited about this. Although we are genuinely still mourning over the fact the original trio - Jeremy, Richard Hammond and James May – won’t get to entertain us together anymore.

As we know since Clarkson was involved in that BBC fracas - which led to his sacking from the show – his co-hosts James and Richard (respectively) decided they would not go on without him and resigned from their posts.
A source told The Sun: "Clarkson walked to the pub, taking the back roads to try to shake off photographers.
"But he failed to lose them and he and Jodie sat outside in full view. They looked like they got on like a house on fire."
When Jodie was asked if she wanted the job, she said: "Why not? Yes! I'm sure we can get two people to sign a petition."
Clarkson, Richard, James and the show’s executive producer Andy Wilman could now be set to sign a deal with Disney – who part owns the History channel – for a new motoring programme.
Although one of the trio (which means either Richard or James) is believed to still have a 12-month ‘non-compete clause’ in their BBC contract. So if there is a new car show in the pipeline, it’ll have to wait another year before it can air.
