You remember Sam Fox from Celebrity Big Brother, right?

Well once upon a time she used to be a pop star and had a couple of hits back in the 80s, including the absolute banger, Touch Me.

Now, former glamour girl Sam has made an appearance on Loose Women, where she claims she was told – by Oprah of all people – that Taylor Swift was inspired by her.

Say what?! Global mega star Tay-Tay was influenced by 'Our Sam'?

Speaking about her sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, Sam explained: "It started off quite positive, she talked about Taylor Swift and her 1989 album.

"I was quite an influence on her life growing up because my music was quite big, well it still is, in the States."

Who knew?

We can totally imagine a tiny Taylor rocking out to Sam's 80s hits with her hairbrush in front of the mirror.

Sam explained that Oprah wanted all the juicy goss from the book she's working on – but that she held back. Because it's top secret, y'know?

"I've not worked in America for a few years so they do want to know more about my life," Sam boasted. "As I'm writing my book at the moment, she was interested in what I'm going to speak about. I didn't want to give too much away because I wanted people to buy my book!"

Well, at least she's honest.

In other news, Calvin Harris has in NO WAY been influenced by Taylor in his latest music video for his track My Way. Wink wink.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell has been mouthing off about who he wants to see on The X Factor panel next year.

And speaking of The X Factor, eliminated contestant Gifty Louise has announced plans to move to LA.

Alright for some, eh?
