Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris' break up earlier this year made us question whether true love even exists. If they can't make it, who bloody can?
Their Insta pics were enviable and we may or may not have tried to recreate the inflatable swan one when we were down on Brighton beach.
The sad, sad news started a catastrophic domino effect in Hollywood – next were Brooklyn Beckham and Chloe Moretz, then Brangelina, and then Taylor and Tom Hiddleston (who we had SUCH high hopes for after that painfully embarrassing 'I heart TS' shirt debacle).
If we had anything left in our tiny stone hearts, we might let out a tear.
Calvin dropped his track, My Way, a few weeks ago but the music video was yet to be released.
UNTIL NOW.
And we can't help but notice there MIGHT be some, ahem, bits that feel like a dream you've had once before. From the outfits, to the settings, we get the impression that it MAY have something to do with Taylor.
Just a little bit though.
The video starts with a guy in a red box tubed up to some sort of machine – nothing to shout about there. Then we see Calvin standing outside a lovely little house. Other than his bulging arms in a checkered shirt, again there's nothing too unusual about the set-up.
And then it all starts looking verrrrry familiar.
The camera peeps into the house and you can see a lady in a polka dot dress. Anyone who has seen Taylor Swift's 72 Questions with Vogue will know that her home is a kitsch dream with floral wallpaper and screaming cuteness.
You haven't? OK it looks like this.
And this is the home in Calvin's video.
Hmmm.
Soon afterwards Calvin is sitting opposite the girl and – oh wait, doesn't that look a bit like the bit in Taylor Swift's video for We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together?
Could be a coincidence.
But then the video girl, hovering in the room suddenly starts glitching and she's now donning a white PVC outfit. Where have we seen that before?
We really can't put our finger on it.
Then Calvin watches people having a wicked time at what looks like an absolutely bangin' barn party, complete with strobes and sexy dancers, and we can't help but imagine how the hell we get an invite.
Hang on – have we seen that black, white and red colour scheme we've seen somewhere else?
Huh.
The girl from the house is back, and she's wearing a literal Cinderella dress. It's sparkling and lit up and looks almost identical to the one that Clare Danes wore at the Met Gala this year.
Remember? Oh the Met Gala. That fateful night when Taylor and Tom Hiddleston met and then a video of their dance moves went viral.
Just us or is the armoured top half of the dress a bit like what Taylor wore that night?
It gets pretty hard to concentrate after that, because there is so much glitching and cutting that the images are all distorted and we can't see all the details.
DAMN IT.
But by the end, the lady is wearing a risqué black PVC outfit, and it looks like she gets her shoes from the same place as Taylor.
Finally, the video ends on a computer that looks like something they'd have in 1989.
Yes, 1989.
