Petty, but we love it

Taylor Swift

Bow down to your queen as Taylor Swift is back and she is taking down everyone who has ever wronged her with her first single since 2014.

Oh and redefining the word 'petty' by boldly switching up her social media to indirect her haterz.

Oooh, the wrath of teenage rebellion! Did we mention, we are obsessed?

Taylor Swift's long-awaited video for Look What You Made Me Do was unveiled at MTV's VMA awards and is essentially a diss-track aimed at all of her ex-boyfriends, her celeb enemies and the ruddy media.

But what does it all mean? What are the hidden messages of Look What You Made Me Do?

There are plenty, love.

The grave of her reputation

Taylor Swift Look What You Made Me Do

At the start of T-Swizzle's music video, where it goes all '31st Oct' on us, it shows the zombie-clad star emerging from a grave which reads 'Here lies Taylor Swift's reputation', whilst the grave next to it reads 'Nils Sjöberg' which was the pseudonym used to credit her in Calvin Harris's single Look What You Came For. It's the song they wrote together, though Calvin claims Taylor wanted a fake name.

When Taylor revealed she had co-written the song, Calvin hit back:

'[Taylor is an] amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual… Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so out of their way to make ME look bad at this stage though… I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it.'

'I heart T.S' t-shirts

Remember when then-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston wore a 'I [heart] T.S' top whilst frolicking in the sea at Taylor's 4th July party? Yup, the pair were given a hard time for this #cringe PDA display, though Tom has recently spoken how it was 'a joke' and he had needed a spare t-shirt.

Taylor's rivalry with Katy Perry

Katy Perry has appeared in Taylor's video, but before you start imagining a hella-fierce collab, STOP. Not quite. (Though what a banger that would be.) Tay has seemingly dressed up as arch-enemy Katy Perry, who is portrayed as someone who is fame-hungry and werkin' the paps.

Oh dear. To think, Katy Perry had only recently said she loved Taylor...

The infamous 'squad'

Taylor Swift Look What You Made Me Do

When Taylor is at the front on stage in front of hundreds of stony-cold mannequins that all look spookily similar, she is referencing the abuse she received for supposedly 'curating' a girl group of beautiful women in Hollywood, that were bitchy to anyone who wasn't in the 'squad'.

Basically the whole world thought Taylor Swift was Regina George.

It then shows the mannequins all on a floor on a heap, symbolising the breakdown of her friendship group.

But as she poignantly sings, 'I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me'.

Kanye West ring

These look v. similiar to Kanye West's shades right? So, Taylor is throwing shade by wearing them (on her perfectly manicured hand). Bravo.

Kim Kardashian's choker

Stop the press! Is Taylor purposefully wearing a similar choker to the one worn by Kim Kardashian in THAT Instagram post hours before she was robbed in Paris? Probably tbh. Controversial.

Snakes EREWHERE

Taylor Swift Look What You Made Me Do

It's the year of the snake, baby! There is a very apparent snake theme slithering throughout the whole video which is hitting back at all the Kimye fans who left zillions of snake emojis on the star's Instagram post, after she was caught out agreeing to the lyrics of Almost Famous.

She has since wiped her entire Instagram and turned off the comments.

Blimey, we need to lie down. Can you just IMAGINE what her album has in-store for us? It's not released till November, so at least we have some time to get over the iconic 'The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now' BOMBSHELL.
