This theory behind Taylor Swift’s old MySpace pic is LOL

Taylor Swift

A long long long time ago – in the year 2006 – Taylor Swift was a vaguely normal teenager living a sort-of-normal life.

Which means, of course, she had a MySpace page.

And like any other teenager back then, said page would be a pretty embarrassing selection of moody profile pictures, emotional song lyrics and attempts at mild flirtation.

Oh, just us?

Luckily for us, someone has archived her old Myspace pictures — and they are every bit as cringe as you remember 2006 Myspace was.

So let’s take a look at the picture in question from the historical treasure that is Myspace.

Taylor Swift

At first look, this is just a picture of her in her almost unrecognisable emo stage of life.

We’ve all been there, Taylor.

But someone has a theory behind this picture and it will seriously make you LOL.

Basically, someone thinks that “she is 100% a boy from a small town in Exeter who you’d flirt with on MSN messenger because you’d heard and he was one of only three gay or bi teens you’re aware of”.

Interesting thought...

Twitter is clearly loving the theory as the absolute hero behind the theory has had plenty of replies such as: “oh my god STOP, this was me. Did we know each other? Was I the boy on MSN messenger? Were YOU the boy on MSN messenger?”

They then go on to document the problems we ALL had at that age including being kicked off the internet so your mum could make a call and changing your screen name on MSN to an angsty song lyric every time someone even slightly annoyed you.

Those were the days!

What are the chances that everyone is simultaneously rushing over to Myspace to see what their profiles say.

Very likely.

Let’s just hope we can remember our passwords to delete the pesky thing…
