In news we'd never thought we'd bring you over this fine bank holiday weekend, Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing is making his TV soap debut.

Yup. He's set to show off his acting skills as he's become the latest famous face to make an appearance in Channel 4's Hollyoaks.

Seriously, (daaaahling).

Jamie first sparked rumours he'd be making an appearance in the soap after he was spotted on the set in Chester back in March, and now Hollyoaks have confirmed he will be joining the cast for an episode.

According to The Mirror, Jamie explained: “I am actually going to be in Hollyoaks in the background!

"I’m excited and nervous, all the motions in one right now.”

TBF, being in Hollyoaks is literally our childhood dream so we'd be pretty excited and nervous too.

Jamie also took to Twitter to confirm the news, writing: "So it is true everyone…get ready for my special appearance on @Hollyoaks."

But before you start to worry Jamie's making a permanent move out of his SW London bubble (he's rarely spotted north of the Thames, tbh), we're pretty sure he's not swapping Chelsea for Chester just yet. Apparently he's only in the the soap for about 42.53 seconds.

He will appear as a doctor in the background during a scene while characters Marnie and Jamie Nightingale have a discussion.

Jamie was also was given some acting advice and a tour of Chester by Hollyoaks star Sophie Porley, who plays Ellie Nightingale in the soap.

It's a looooong ol' way from the Kings Road, isn't it J, hun?
