Tom will be reading the CBeebies Bedtime Story to little devils across the country this New Year's Eve.
If that's not a reason to stay in and avoid the crowds and kissing that guy you've been avoiding all year because it’s nearly midnight and you're getting desperate, we don’t know what is. Come on, New Year's is always a bit of a let down anyway, isn’t it?
This year could be different. You can opt for some quiet time with Tom and the kids.
If you don't have children to hand we highly recommend getting some / hiring some for the evening. We're sure there'll be plenty of exhausted post-Christmas parents in need of a babysitter.
Tom is set to tell the tale of a little boy heading off to a party in a masterpiece entitled You Must Bring A Hat, by Simon Philip and Kate Hindley.
Sounds gripping, doesn't it? Although, we have a feeling as soon as Tom is on camera we won't be listening to the story, sorry kids.

In an upcoming interview with Esquire, he and Leonardo DiCaprio made a bet that, if he got nominated for a Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Revenant, he'd have to get a tatt of Leo's choosing.
Excitingly for him, he did get nominated. Annoyingly for him, the tattoo is so crap that he's sort of putting it off.
