Yesterday we brought you the absolutely CRAZY / not surprising in any way at all news that Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift had broken up.
Deep down we'd known this was coming since the first time we saw Tom in that ‘I heart T.S.’ t-shirt (no-one can deal with that shit long term), but we were still SHOCKED.
And since we saw THIS picture....
They were the most confusing couple since Liam Payne and Cheryl, and we’ve been in a perpetual state of alarm since those pictures of them on a beach surfaced.
We're now really hoping that 'most elaborate Taylor Swift video ever' conspiracy theory was right and we can expect it any day now.
It was reported that they broke up because it all got too public for Taylor, who wasn’t interested in being part of a "power couple".
"Tom’s a great guy but there’s no room for him in her life.
"She doesn’t want a serious relationship and that’s where it was heading… It was all far too public, in the end,” a source told The Sun.
"Tom freaked her out with his love of the limelight."
The source continued: "Taylor is so focused on her career it’s unreal… She is in control of her life, that’s a fact.
"She is the driving force in what she does and where she goes, and she certainly won’t let a boyfriend interfere with that."
We thought this all sounded very fair and reasonable but, according to Tom, it was also a load of bollocks.
He's now insisted that it was HIM who "dumped" Taylor, and "not the other way round"
A theatre producer who collaborated with Tom on Coriolanus told Heat Street: "The reports are wide of the mark and come as news to all Tom’s friends.
"He grew tired of Taylor, it wasn’t the other way round.
"Tom drifted from her and it had nothing to do with her being put off by the publicity.
"It’s more to do with the fact he’s a commitment-phobe who gets bored very easily."
