Richard Hammond and James May are reported to have been offered £4.6m to stay on Top Gear by the BBC.
This is to get the pair to stay for “two or three” more series, reports The Times.
Prior to this the pair got around £500,000 each per series. We’re guessing Jeremy Clarkson got a fair whack more. Basically, they’re all massively overpaid, and we’re not going to apologise for saying that, neither.

After steak-gate (you know, where Jeremy Clarkson was sacked for verbally abusing a producer over, well, the lack of a steak at his hotel after a day’s work) it’s rumoured that a different guest presenter could helm the show each week.
People like Jodie Kidd, Will Young and, um, THE HOFF (big yes to that last one) have indicated that they’d be interested in taking over Jeremy’s role.
But this could even mean that Jezza returns as a guest presenter in the future. Which you’ll either be a staunch critic or supporter of.
BBC Two controller Kim Shillinglaw said in April:
“Jeremy will be back on the BBC. It is serious and unfortunate what happened but there is no ban on Jeremy being on the BBC. Jeremy… needs some time out.”
