Some say Kanye West is a genius, some say he's not all that. He divides opinion with his antics and is probably one of the most influential artists of our generation – closely followed by Taylor Swift.
LOL.
However, Kanye has pissed off some of his most loyal fans with his latest move.
To celebrate the release of his new single 'Famous' (y'know, the one about Taylor) Kanye has decided to premiere the visual in Los Angeles later today, inviting fans along to watch.
It was all announced last minute and loads raced to get their hands on a ticket. A ticket that cost $26 dollars, working out at around £18. You could buy his Life Of Pablo album twice over for that.
You can also livestream the event on Tidal - that you also have to pay for.
WHY SO PRICEY?
Earlier this year, in a now infamous Twitter rant, Kanye declared that he was 53 million dollars in debt – despite being married intoone of the richest families in America.
Maybe he could ask Taylor for a fiver? The songis about her after all, he raps: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that bitch famous / God damn / I made that bitch famous.”
Taylor was outraged when the song was released and her spokesperson releasing this statement:
"Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single Famous on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous’."
Kanye and wife Kim Kardashian INSISTED she did. Gah.
Kim told GQ: "She [Taylor] totally approved that."
"She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t."
Oh the drama.
Let's hope Kanye’s veeeery expensive 'video masterpiece' is as long as Beyonce's Lemonade, because then it will be worth it.
We're also hoping for an appearance from Kim. Maybe even Taylor.
