Would you miss your mum’s wedding to audition for The X Factor?

Why not, eh?

Getting to audition in front of The X Factor judging panel is a pretty massive deal. You've managed to get through the approx 24959939 rounds of producer auditions (or so we hear) and you're gonna be on the telly (probably).

If we got that far (which we never would as our voice sounds like a dying screeching old cat), we'd 100% think nothing of sacking off weddings of close family members to be there.

IT'S THE BLAAADY X FACTOR.

And family weddings are boring AF.

This is exactly the situation auditionee Jamie Lee Morley found himself in.

He thought he could time auditioning AND attending his actual MOTHER'S wedding rehearsal in the same day, but it (obviously) didn't go quite to plan.

Speaking about the ordeal, Jamie said: "I didn’t tell my Mum I was auditioning this year.

"My mum was getting married in Manchester the day after my audition in June and was having a rehearsal for it the day before.

"I was meant to be walking her down the aisle with my brother. When I found out about the clash, I said to the organisers at The X Factor, 'please can I get on as early as possible,'" he told The Sun.

"Still, I wasn't able to get on till 7.30pm, when I was already meant to be in Manchester."

NIGHTMARE.

HE WAS SUPPOSED TO WALK HER DOWN THE AISLE!

He made it to the actual wedding, though, look:

But we think she's forgiven him, as Simon Cowell himself filmed an apology video for Pam (his mum's name's Pam).

The apology video (along with Jamie's audition) is due to air in tomorrow's show, and we cannot wait to see Mr Cowell's remorseful voice.

In other X Factor news, the show has been renewed for another THREE YEARS.

HOORAY!

So you can all throw a massive X Factor party this weekend.
