In terms of celeb romance, we can all agree 2016 was a bit of a shocker, right? We're still only just coming to terms with the whole Brangelina divorce and possibly our fave reality TV crossover couple snuck in a break-up just before the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve.

We're only a few weeks into 2017 and already things are looking up in the love stakes. We've got brand new (and slightly weird) romances popping up all over the place (Drake and JLo, The Weeknd and Selena Gomez and we're holding out for at least one new couple to come out of this year's Celebrity Big Brother). One couple which seems to have made a seamless transition from last year's annus horibilus 2.0 into the dewy green pastures of 2017, is Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid.

Zigi was spotted out in New York over the weekend with an elegant band on her wedding finger.
Combined with the totes loved up photos she's been sharing on her Instagram, could this mean Zigi have taken their relationship to the next level?

However, this comes after reports claim Gigi had previously turned down a proposal from Zayn after just a year of dating, so we're not rushing out to buy a hat just yet.
A source told Life & Style magazine that Zizi didn't she was ready to settle down and get married: "She's only 21 and doesn’t feel ready to tie the knot, so she turned him down."
Awks, but kinda fair.
Zayn was previously engaged to Little Mix's Perrie Edwards before ending their four-year relationship in 2015.
Last year the internet almost melted when the Little Mix girls confirmed Zayn was the subject of the absolute banger (which we still listen to on a day basis, NGL) Shout Out To My Ex. Including that v nawty line dissing Zayn's bedroom skills. LOLOL.
