It’s a sad day for love - Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have reportedly split up.
The former One Direction star and the model have apparently decided to end their romance after dating for seven months.
However, while they may have decided to go their separate ways, their friends think it won’t be long before they’re back together.
A source told E! News: “Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow. It’s all very unclear what’s going on between them now. They have been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.
“Gigi is really sad about this, though, and in a way would like to work it out. It’s more about that constant contact with Zayn that she misses and they did get very close.”
They have apparently been on and off for a while and are said to have an explosive argument at Gigi’s birthday party in Los Angeles in April.
“During her birthday they were fighting. They have broken up and got back together a few times,” an insider explained.
The former couple only made their red carpet debut together at the Met Gala in New York last month where they wore matching metallic outfits.
The news may come as a surprise to fans as it was rumoured Gigi was planning to give up her life in New York to set up a home with Zayn in Los Angeles so she could spend more time with him.
A source said: “Zayn wants Gigi to move in with him and she says she now feels 100 per cent ready.
“She loves her New York City apartment and wanted to be sure Zayn was serious before moving to LA, but she’s madly in love with him and can’t stand to be apart so she knows it’s the right move.”
