Zoe Ball and her husband Normal Cook have announced they have split up after 18 years of marriage.

Television host Zoe and DJ Normal, also known as Fatboy Slim, insist they will stay good friends and as they parent their two children Woody and Nelly.

Announcing the news, Zoe tweeted: “With great sadness we are announcing that we have separated.

“After many exciting adventures together over the last 18 years we have come to the end of our rainbow.

“We are still great friends and will continue to support each other and raise out beautiful children together, living next door but one.”

The pair married at Babbington House in Somerset in 1999 but split in 2003 after Zoe had an affair with DJ Dan Peppe.

Zoe and Normal got back together at a few months and claimed she felt like she’d settled down too early.

At the time, she told the Daily Mirror: “It was a mix of everything. I wasn’t happy.

“And what I’ve always done in my past when life hit a rocky patch was just run from trouble into the next relationship.”

Zoe added: “I didn’t realise it would be such a big deal. That was foolish and I dragged everyone through it. It was a difficult period.”
