BRITs 2015: Madonna's 'team compare awards performance fall to massacre'

Of all the people not to upset at last night’s BRIT Awards, one of them must have been Madonna – one of the biggest stars in the world – during her big comeback performance.

The singer took to the stage at the end of the ceremony and just seconds into her routine was pulled down a flight of stairs by her dancers after the Armani Prive cape around her neck failed to unfasten. MASSIVE OOPS!

Her microphone could be heard crashing to the floor as she stopped singing but she got up and continued with her performance like a pro.

However, the atmosphere was said to be way more than frosty after the accident, with her team getting out of London’s O2 Arena quickly.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “Her team were left to pack up and ship out sharpish. Madonna’s team had been working on her cape since Monday.

“It was the only topic of conversation coming from the seamstresses as it had been impressed on them to make it perfect.

“When she fell, the room which had previously been the subject of so much chatter, fell silent.

“The atmosphere wasn’t as if someone had died it was as if someone had been massacred.” Wow!

Well, there’s a silver lining to the whole disaster – Madonna was trending worldwide on social media so her comeback definitely got plenty of attention.

Taking to Instagram after the show, she wrote: “Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I’m fin! #livingforlove.”
