Of all the people to beat handsome Prince Harry in the style stakes, his grandfather was not one we thought would succeed. Little did we know!

Prince Philip has entered the GQ magazine 50 Best Dressed Men list for 2016 at a rather impressive number 12. A higher position than his grandson Prince Harry! The 94-year-old Duke of Edinburgh “embodies duty and decorum and comes across effortlessly in the way he dresses” according to John Ray, creative director of Dunhill.

Meanwhile Prince Harry appears way later down the list at number 38. As well as beating his grandson, Prince Philip also landed above stars such as Idris Elba, Jamie Dornan and Oliver Cheshire.

The winner of this year’s 50 Best Dressed blokes was Danish Girl star Eddie Redmayne with Nick Grimshaw coming a close 2nd. Harry Styles, who is currently enjoying a yacht love-in with Kendall Jenner, came 6th and Romeo Beckham was 8th.
