It’s been a loooong and painful wait, but Taylor Swift is finally back on the scene after a break from the spotlight.
We haven’t seen much of her recently, except for glimmers of her well documented feud with pop star Katy Perry, and a cameo in Thirteen Reasons Why, but earlier today, Tay Tay took to Twitter and broke her silence….
OK, so it wasn’t quite a tweet to say hello to her fans, or to tell us WHEN THE HELL NEW MUSIC IS COMING, but she did feature in a super sassy video to congratulate basketball star, Russell Westbrook at the NBA awards last night, which was hosted by her good pal Drake.
And look how FRESH she looks with her bouncy blonde curls!!!
In the video, our gal Taylor joked that Russell was the one to teach her basketball, and encouraged her to 'Shake it Off' when he beat her. LOL.
She said: “Ahh Russell... It's Taylor. Remember? I was the one who taught you basketball. I was the one who taught you to dribble, and shoot hoops and I remember the first time you beat me at basketball, and I was really upset, and you said you just have to shake it off and I got an idea...”
“So essentially we have to thank each other for these careers. So that's why I’m art of your congratulations video, because we go back 20 years....
Of course, this isn’t true. The pair don't know each other... But it wouldn’t be Taylor if she didn’t crack a joke when congratulating the basketball star.
"Actually we’ve never met," she said "and that’s a fake story, but I wish that was the truth. You are amazing you are the MVP and I'm so happy for you!”
Yep. It’s all a bit confusing, we know. But who CARES because Taylor is back on the scene, and that only means one thing.
New. Music.
It must be a sign, right?!? There have been rumours flying around for aaages that she’s got her sixth album in the pipleines, and an insider recently told US Weeklyto expect it by Autumn.
"Taylor’s been quietly recording new music for a couple of months,’ they said. ‘She’s aiming to release an album this fall."
Eeeeep!
But if Taylor’s back from her social media hiatus already, then who knows, the album could be dropping sooner than we think…
