Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have got beef dating back to 2014, when Taylor admitted Bad Blood was about an 'enemy' who'd stolen back-up dancers. Katy then responded by tweeting Mean Girls references. It was all very year ten, but somehow their feud is still RIFE.
And as Katy Perry releases even more deets about her forthcoming album (set to be released later this year), she's finally spoken about all the bad blood between the pair.
Well, kind of.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Katy was asked whether her new album will include a musical response to T-Swizzle.
Katy sassily replied: "Well that’s not my question to answer — if it’s about me. I think [the album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person.
"One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that’s not to any one person and don’t quote me that it is, because it’s not. It’s not about that.
"Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story. But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that, okay, honey."
Now that's how to answer an awks af question.
In a nutshell, Katy's new album is about waaaay more important things than her silly spat with Taylor.
Katy also revealed that she had written 40 tracks for her new record and had to whittle them all down to just 15.
"It's really quite brave.
"Sonically, it's fun and dance-y and dark and light. It's all of these things. It definitely is a change."
