If you're a popstar and don't document your recent break up all over your new album, are you really a popstar?

Answer – absolutely not.

And, following the biggest break up in pop since Britney and Justin happened just last year, we've been waiting with bated breath to hear all about it on the radio.

Luckily for us, it's been basically confirmed by bandmate Jesy Nelson that Little Mix will be singing about Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik's break-up in their upcoming album.

She said: "I think it’s always easier to write about your experiences through music because more people can relate to them anyway.

"It is a lot more mature, this album. There’s a lot of things that have been said that perhaps nobody has heard yet, if you know what I mean," she told The Sun.

When asked for deets, she said: "I think it’s pretty obvious. I think all the songs are very relatable to girls, and our fan base in general."

We cannot WAIT.

In slightly more bizarre Zayn and Perrie news, it has emerged that he once said he'd like Perrie's actual boyfriend Luke Pasqualino to play him in a film about his life (before they were going out, obv).

A few years ago, Australia's The Hot Hits asked him who'd play him in this theoretical movie (which we'd love to see, should they every make it), and Zayn said: "I always say the same guys and I always forget his surname…

"He’s called Luke and he was in the British version of Skins – he played Freddie."

We actually think Freddie from Skins (who's death we're still crying over, BTW) would make a fantastic Zayn – though slightly awk, given the circumstances.

Perrie appeared to confirm her romance with hunky Luke after being spotted out and about with him earlier this month. When asked by The Mirror how things were going, she replied: "Yeah, it’s going alright, thanks."
