Chocolate

We’ve only just recovered from the news that there’s going to be a cheese festival coming to the UK. The mere thought of chowing down on as much brie as we can get our hands on is already sending us into a food coma BUT we’re a bit sad that we have to wait until next year for The Big Cheese Festival.

That’s why we’re so excited by the announcement of ChocFest, a foodie festival dedicated to all things chocolate, which will be taking place in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire this November. Award-winning Leicester chocolatiers Cocoa Amore are supporting the festival so the chocolate is guaranteed to be quality stuff.

According to the organisers, this two-day event will involve tastings, demonstrations, talks and workshops. You had us at tastings, tbh.

There will be tons of chocolate on offer – as well as your standard choccie bars, guests will be able to tuck into chocolate cakes, pies, crepes, brownies, tarts, liqueurs, doughnuts, macarons, desserts, marshmallows, biscuits and even chocolate pizzas, kebabs, moonshine, mead, wine and beer. Chocolate wine? WE’RE THERE.

When you need a break from getting your Bruce Bogtrotter on, you’ll be able to take part in workshops to make your own truffles and treats, as well as talks and demonstrations on the history of chocolate and how to bake with the good stuff.

Tickets for the event, which takes place on 18th and 19th November, cost £6 and kids under the age of £16 go free. An absolute barg for a day of chocolate indulgence.
