While Jonathan Cheban didn’t get on with all his Celebrity Big Brother housemates (we’re looking at you, Angie Bowie and John Partridge), he loved the others so much he actually wants to go back in.
Speaking to heat from his London hotel, ahead of a packed day of meetings, events and a lot of shopping, Jonathan tells us he wants to go back on the inside.
Although, now he’s got a taste of freedom, we think it would take a bit of persuasion.
“I would love to go back in,” Jonathan enthuses. “But once you come out – you’d now have to literally push me in there. I liked so many of the people in the house. Danniella [Westbrook] was so sweet, Christopher [Maloney] was hilarious and Scotty [T, of Geordie Shore fame] is awesome.”
But what about the people he didn’t get on with? Jonathan never clicked with Angie and John and he admits he won’t be keeping in touch.
“Angie is like a bat out of hell – I don’t do well with crazy people and she it was like, something is wrong with her,” Jonathan adds. “ John was trying to be too controlling – I couldn’t care less about him. I don’t know who he is.”
Now he’s on the outside, Jonathan reveals that he’s looking forward to getting back in touch with the real world.
He explains: “I had a zillion Google alerts and like a million messages from all my companies and endorsements – they were like ‘where were you?’”
And what about BFF Kim Kardashian?
“Our hours are so off right now, when she wants to talk it’s like already 2am here and I’ve been a zombie for the last two nights,” Jonathan says. “Once I regroup, I’ll figure it out. Plus I’m back in LA filming with the Kardashians next month so I’ll be there for a long time and I’ll see her then!”
Flying back to LA from London may prove costly however. Jonathan has a thing for the sales (don’t we all?) and will be lugging back three times more bags than he arrived with.
“I’m not this bad but over here I’m addicted to shopping! The sales are still so good,” he laughs. “I love Selfridges and I love Harvey Nicks. I’ll need extra luggage – I bought so much stuff. My mum has taken stuff home already, she took a whole suitcase home and I have bags of stuff here. I left two suitcases at my agent’s house – I’ve got five here plus the carry on. I haven’t stopped!”
Next stop for Jonathan is a tour of the UK with meetings and club appearances, but he’s hoping to be in London for the final. We hope he is!
