When you think of the great romances of our time, who comes to mind?

David Beckham and Posh Spice? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? Lydia Bright and James 'Arg' Argent?

Pah! We laugh in the face of all of those. Kinda. The greatest love story of modern times is undoubtedly that of Preston 'Ordinary Boys' Preston* and Chantelle Houghton.

The pair met on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, the twist being that Chantelle wasn't really a celebrity. No, we're not being 'smart' about the calibre of participants, she really was a regular Joe, sent into the house on a mission to convince the other celebs that she was one of them.

She succeeded. But that was not her greatest triumph.

Her greatest triumph was winning Preston's heart! And the show. Both are good.

Watching them fall in love on the telly was a bit icky, as Preston had a fiancée, Camille, and Chantelle a boyfriend when they entered the house, but a love as strong as Preston and Chantelle's for each other could not be denied.

After a staggering seven months together they got married but their love was too beautiful for this world and they split less than a year later.

But, it looks as though all is not lost. Preston has admitted that he still has feelings for his former wife.

Referring to an interview in which Chantelle said she still loved Preston (yes!), the singer told new! magazine: "Oh, you know, you never lose those feelings. She's a kind-hearted soul."

Speaking about their marriage, Preston said: "It was a whirlwind of nonsense, the calm moments among the storm that we had together were great."

Adding fuel to the REUNION OF THE CENTURY fire, Preston said that he and Chantelle: "phone [each other] up and have a little gossip now and again".

Excuse us, we're off for a little lie down.

*Preston's real first name is Samuel. We had literally no idea until just now.
