Halloween is over, the central heating is at skin shrivelling levels and red cups have hit the streets.

It can all only mean one thing. It’s time to speculate about the Glastonbury Festival 2016 headliners!

TOP NEWS

And, after last night’s announcement about two mega gigs from Manchester leg-ends The Stone Roses, the rumour mill is a-rocking that they’ll snare one of the top slots at the best party of the summer.

Michael Eavis, the UK’s favourite farmer, is said to be “desperate” to confirm Ian Brown etc. for a slot on the farm.

We can’t really see Michael, 80, as a lover of baggy but whatever, it would be ace if they played.

And there is a Glastonbury-sized hole in their tour schedule, which is, err:

Friday 17 and Saturday 18 June, Manchester

    GLASTONBURY SHAPED HOLE

Friday 8 July – T in the Park

We admit that are many holes in their schedule but we live in hope.

Other rumoured headliners for Glastonbury 2016 are Adele and the Foo bloody Fighters, plus Phil actual Collins for the Sunday afternoon legend spot.

    Love a bit of Phil.
