The best Easter-themed cocktails to try this bank holiday

EGG-cellent (sorry)!

Forget chocolate eggs; London’s mixology has been taken to a whole new level of egg-streme this Easter and you need to get involved.

Always keen for a festive night on the town, the guys and gals over at DesignMyNight scoured the capital for the best Easter-themed bevvies. From Creme Egg masterpieces to cocktails in actual Easter eggs, we guarantee you're going to want to set aside some time (and probably some loose clothing) to sample one/all of these indulgent tipples.

Loopy Fiasco at London Cocktail Club

London Cocktail Club is one of the coolest party bars in London so it comes as no surprise that they jumped on this year’s Easter cocktail bandwagon. Their Loopy Fiasco contains Stoli Vanilla Vodka, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, milk, strawberry jam and rose water. Munch your way through the colourful mound of Fruit Loops, and sit back and relax as the rosey pink mix underneath whisks you back to your childhood where silly things like bills and taxes didn’t exist.

Bueno at Be At One

Be At One added the Bueno to their menu a couple of weeks before Easter; and word on the street is that it’s better than the chocolate bar itself. The cocktail contains Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, Salted Caramel Kahlua, White Kinder Bueno and plenty of vanilla ice-cream. With almost 20 bars dotted across London, there’s no excuse to miss out on slurping this dreamy drink come Easter weekend.

Aster Egg Cocktail at Aster

Want to have your cake egg and eat it too? Aster have gone above and beyond this year to create the ultimate Easter-themed cocktail. Their Aster Egg Cocktail combines Diplomatico Reserva Rum mixed with Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueur, aztec bitter chocolate, milk and sugar. Once you’ve hoovered up the last of your cocktail, you can move onto the hollow milk chocolate egg it’s served in. Result.

The White Rabbit, Chocolate Martini and Maltese at Dirty Martini

Dirty Martini’s mixologists donned their cocktail caps to think up three top Easter tipples this year - The White Rabbit, Chocolate Martini and the Maltease. Only here for three weeks, it’s in your best interests to pay this stylish bar a visit before they leave the menu. If you fit into the indecisive category, and need some guidance - you can’t go wrong with the Maltease. Containing Havana 3yr Rum, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, Canadian maple syrup, Vita Pure Coconut Water, Nutella and Ovaltine, there’s no need to second guess how good this bad boy tastes.

The Fabergé at Quaglingos

Quaglino's have teamed up with Fabergé for a two-week pop-up promising caviar, Russian dishes and limited edition cocktails inspired by the famous Imperial Easter Eggs the jeweller is known for. The four cocktails on offer will be made with Russian vodka Stolichnaya Elit, but the prettiest and tastiest of the lot is The Fabergé. It contains Stolichnaya Elit, Crème de Peche, Manzanilla Sherry and grapefruit bitters.

Creme Eggs and Cross Buns at Bassoon

Bassoon is a snazzy piano bar in the Corinthia Hotel, but it will have all manner of Creme Egg fans flocking to its door this Easter. Their Creme Eggs and Cross Buns is made with Bacardi Carta Blanca and Bacardi Carta Oro, Crème de Cacao Blanc and Dry Orange Curaçao, which is then strained and topped off with Italian meringue and garnished with your all-time Cadbury favourite. Is it decadence in a glass? Yes, it bloody is.

The Chocoberry at Bounce

Bounce might be known for its UV ping pong tables and brunch-inspired pizzas, but this year they’ve upped the ante with The Chocoberry. Created especially for Easter, this tipple contains Ciroc Vodka, Chambord, Kahlua, lemon juice and sugar. If you’re looking for a cocktail to satisfy your chocolate cravings, this is it.
