But before we get started, sociologist Dr Jessica Carbino has a few handy hints for what makes a successful profile.

She told Cosmopolitan: “Individuals that do well on Tinder are not necessarily the most attractive people in the room, they’re the ones who are creating a profile that presents an authentic self, and then go about matching with people who they believe will be compatible.”
In fact, you’re also 14% more likely to get a right swipe if you're smiling...with teeth showing as “you're signalling that you're kind, warm and approachable".
