You can now get Tinder on your computer

So you can match away while you're (pretending to be) busy at work

We're often thinking of ways we can fit our daily Tinder scroll into our routine without our boss catching us frantically swiping on our phones, or a particularly pass-agg colleague popping up behind us to ask what we’re working on as we try and figure out whether our new match is actually fit or not. The struggle is real.

Well the guys and gals over at Tinder have our backs as they've announced a new platform that will allow users to peruse a selection of equally date-hungry singles while they (pretend to) work on their computers. Tinder Online is a new 'web-optimised' version of the dating app which people can use on their desktops.

Tinder Online was created to appeal to those of us who constantly run out of storage on our phones, or whose data allowance isn't really compatible with the 5727285 hours spent trying to find 'the one' with a selection of well-chosen and cleverly-lit pictures.

Accessed via Facebook, the platform is currently only being tested in a handful of countries including Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico and Sweden, but there are plans to launch globally soon.

According to Esquire, Head of Product and Revenue at Tinder, Brian Norgard, explained: "Tinder is present in more than 190 countries, and we've created new connections in every single one of them. With Tinder Online, we're thrilled to make the Tinder experience accessible and available for more users than ever, on any device, any platform, and through any browser."

(Wanna bet we still can't bag a date?)

Brian continued: ""There is a different skill set from a design perspective and a user behavior perspective. What makes Tinder great on your phone might not make it great on the desktop, and vice versa."

Interesting…

We also recently heard that there's a secret, elite Tinder for the rich and famous, but we're unlikely to be racking up superlikes from the celebs anytime soon, as users have to be nominated and invited to join.

What's a gal gotta do for a date with Idris Elba round here, eh??

(We'd settle for Harry Styles.)
