Is it just us, or has this series of The Apprentice been almost as much frought with dramz as this series of The X Factor?

Almost.

There were the claims that four of them were snogging all over the house (in pairs, not together), the BIGGEST EVER LOSS IN HISTORY in the sales task, and not forgetting one of the contestants just up and leaving cos she’d had quite enough of all this crap (probably).

But the latest bit of DRAMZ is 100% the biggest yet, and it comes from none other than Alan Sugar’s previous aide / our favourite person in the whole entire world, Nick Hewer.

He’s revealed that BBC producers would advise them to hold off firing attractive contestants.

:O:O:O:O

"I say to him, 'Oh, by the way Alan, the blonde: he or she is as thick as a fridge door, and I urge you with every fibre of your being, get rid of them, because they're going to let you down.'

"And the producers will say, 'Do you think you could find it in your heart to not get rid of the blonde just yet?'" he continued to The Sun.

He also claimed that candidates without the best business brains were chosen to boost ratings.

"What would happen – because this is how it happens – is it would be on BBC 14 at 3am, with six viewers, and the commissioning editor would be taken out of his office, led by the elbow to a brick wall, where he would be machine gunned."

We are shocked. SHOCKED.

But a representative for the show told the Daily Star online: "The Apprentice is a serious business reality series; the winner will be in partnership with Lord Sugar and therefore needs to have the relevant credentials. References are checked for business and education credentials and a business consultant is involved at audition stages.

"In addition to this, Lord Sugar sees the CVs during final selection process. To say that candidates are chosen purely for their looks or single lines on their CV is not true."

This comes after an absolute NIGHTMARE of an episode last week in which two candidates were fired.

After trying and failing to sell speedboats and some other weird-looking boaty things in the pouring rain, team Titan ended up suffering a loss of more than £40,000 after only making £188.90.

Nightmare.

Team Nebula, meanwhile, cashed in £3,580.68 on snorkels, backpacks, paddle boats; and they also sold two boats – making a total of £40,480.68.
