Stranger Things is up there with 13 Reasons Why, Celebrity Big Brother, and basically everything on ITV on our list of favourite TV shows of the year.

And we’re SO EXCITED FOR SEASON TWO.

The new series is back on Halloween, and its tagline is: "The world is turning upside down," and they probably mean that literally as Stranger Things is so bloody weird (in a good way).

The Netflix synopsis says: "A year after Will’s return, everything seems back to normal… but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins."

Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike, told Emmy Magazine: “I think this season will be a lot [darker]. A lot more horror oriented.

He also said that the characters will face more “disturbing” challenges.

WE WERE PRETTY BLOODY DISTURBED BY THE LAST SERIES, TBH, BUT OK.

And now more info about the upcoming series has been released, and it’s VERY EXCITING.

The creators have assured fans that the second season will replicate “the mojo” or the first, and will be “every bit as loyal” to the characters.

Executive producer and director Shawn Levy told The Hollywood Reporter: "The Duffers [creators Matt and Ross] and I are slightly superstitious, so it was important to us that we replicate the mojo of season one, which meant the brothers kicked things off with episode one and two and then I do three and four."

"The first four episodes are exactly like season one."

"The gate to the Upside Down in the last season was not closed, it is still there."

And Noah Schnapp – who plays Will – hints that he’ll still be affected by his incarceration in the Upside Down.

Stranger Things 2

"You can see in the second season how the Upside Down affected Will. He is definitely holding back on what happens to him and keeps everything in."
