GBBO’s Ruby Tandoh has thrown some SERIOUS shade at Paul Hollywood

She even mentioned the spray tan

We've all had a tut about Paul Hollywood's decision to follow the carcass of The Great British Bake Off to Channel 4.

But former contestant Ruby Tandoh wants the world to know that she is NOT happy about the judge's decision to stick around for a bit longer (probably with just the squirrels for company, TBH).

The 2013 GBBO runner-up posted a string of tweets which appear to slag off Paul's decision to stick with the show, as well as calling him "a peacocking manchild".

"ahhhhhh a peacocking manchild lingering wherever the money is, i am shocked," Ruby wrote.

"this, from a man who turned up to work revving a rental lamborghini. or was it a ferrari. i don't remember, the air was thick w testosterone," she added.

Then Ruby gets all literary on us with a string of tweets inspired by classic whaling novel Moby Dick. Yup, you read that right.

"call me ishmael. my child, it was a dark time: shirts tucked into bootcut jeans and the season's first dusting of spray tan on the ground..." she wrote, adapting the book's first line.

"we locked in battle with a mythic beast, both bright white and mahogany, man and baby, ego and terrible, terrible fragility all at once."

Eek. Ruby's last tweet acknowledges that a humungous cake may be about to hit the fan.

"i will be told off for this. i did it all for you my friends," she wrote.

If you've ever seen a more dramatic Twitter mic drop, then we'd like to read it.

But this isn't the first time that there's been some cake slinging between the pair online.

Last year, Ruby came out as gay on Twitter and had the last laugh over rumours that she had been flirting with Paul on the show.

She wrote: "p.s. for those who thought I fancied Paul Hollywood or that I'd ever bang him to get ahead - JOKE'S ON YOU, YOU MASSIVE SHITTING MISOGYNISTS."

But rather than a simple congrats, Paul hit back with: "very happy for you Ruby... but why do you feel it necessary bringing me into your announcement ?"

Awks.

Fear not, if Nadiya or Mary Berry decide to have a pop then you'll be the first to know.
