The real reason Andrew Tate was removed from Big Brother may have been revealed - a video has emerged in which he appears to hit a girl with a belt.

The world champion kick boxer was ejected from the reality show house yesterday after series bosses became aware of some “information” regarding the sportsman.

Addressing reports regarding the video, Andrew took to Twitter to insist he had done nothing wrong.

He wrote: “The video The Sun will release is me hitting a girl with a belt. They edited out ALL of the laughing and joking and it’s felt!

“They are pretending I beat her up when we were joking and the belt made noise but didn’t hurt! They cut all laughing.”

He went on to insist he is not a violent person and added that he did not react when he was threatened by fellow housemates Marco Pierre White Jr, Chelsea Singh and Jackson Blyton after moving from The Others’ house to the main house next door last week.

Andrew added that cast member Marco asked his love interest Laura Carter to playfully strangle him with a belt in scenes that were aired on Sunday but no action was taken against them, prompting fans to claim his dismissal was unfair.

After his removal from the house, Andrew posted a video on Facebook, which has now been deleted, claiming he came up with “a master plan” to spread paranoia amongst housemates in a bid to make them believe they were not under the control of the other contestants next door.

He insisted bosses thought it would cause too much disruption in the house, adding on Twitter: “Everyone reads 50 Shades no one cares. They kicked me because I told my new plan to Big Brother, they said it’s too clever and dangerous.”

It was also previously reported Andrew faced removal due to alleged racist and homophobic tweets he posted online before his appearance on the programme.

But bosses insisted the tweets and Andrew’s claims of his new game plan were not the reason for his departure.

A spokesperson said: “Channel 5 and Big Brother have become aware that Andrew Tate has posted a statement on Facebook about the circumstances of his departure from the Big Brother House. What Andrew says in that statement is completely false.

“Andrew was not removed because of his actions inside the house. Nor was he removed for tweets allegedly posted by him prior to his entering the House. Andrew was removed because of information which came to light today.”
