We're eternally grateful to the internet for a number of things. Mostly the ability to buy an entirely new wardrobe (and pretend we're not spending actual money) in about 3 clicks, the endless supply of on-demand telly, and being able to stalk all our favourite celebs via an array of social media.
But the number one reason we're thankful for the wonderful worldwide web is because of all the weird and wonderful fan theories about our favourite shows that crop up on various threads and forums.
One show in particular that's caused a hell of a lot of healthy discussion on the message boards is Pretty Little Liars. Mainly because after seven series we still don't have a bloody clue who the mysterious 'A' (see also: Uber A and A.D) who's been wreaking havoc in the Liar's lives since their school days actually is.
One fan theory sounds pretty plausible and the most recent episode of the hit show may have just confirmed it to be true.
Loads of people think that one of the Liars, Spencer Hastings, has a twin. We recently found out that Spencer is actually Mary Drake's daughter, but was adopted by Veronica Hastings shortly after her birth.
Fans came up with the theory that there could be another Drake sibling out there, after all Mary herself is Jessica DiLaurentis' (Alison's mum – keeping up?) twin, and we all know twins run in the family.
Anyway, this second Drake offspring would not have been adopted into the wealthy Hastings household and therefore would probably feel a whole tonne of animosity towards Spencer, her family and friends. Motivation to take on the role of Uber A, perhaps?
There's also been a lot of speculation about who this twin would be. Some fans think it could be Bethany Young (remember her?) or even Wren (Spencer's sister's former fiancé). BUT in the latest episode PLL bosses may have hinted that Spencer's twin is actually an IDENTICAL TWIN.
Towards the end of Tuesday's episode, Ezra spotted Spencer chatting to Wren at the airport on his way to visit Nicole. But, just moments before Spencer had been fighting with her beau Detective Furey in the Lost Woods.
Now, it could just be a case of some creative editing, allowing enough time for Spencer to travel all the way from the woods to the airport, make it through security (you can see a gate number in the scene) and also change her clothes.
But we've got a sneaky suspicion the Spencer Twin (Twincer) fan theories are actually true.
