Carol Vorderman is being lined up to appear on the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The former Countdown star is reportedly in talks with ITV bosses and has apparently been offered a six-figure sum to head to Australia.
Producers are said to hope she will go down well with older members of the audience after working in television for more than 30 years.
An insider told The Sun: “She is well known and still carries a lot of sex appeal.
“ITV chiefs are hoping that she will be the brains of the camp. She is a TV legend and they’re prepared to splash the cash to land her.”
Carol left Channel 4’s Countdown in 2008 before moving on to ITV’s Loose Women but she left the talkshow in 2014.
The jungle reality show will return in November this year and, while the full line-up is yet to be announced, many stars are rumoured to be taking part.
Former footballer Robbie Savage, television presenter Lisa Snowden, comedian Helen Lederer and Coronation Street actor Craig Charles are all said to have been in talks.
