In the haze of extreme tiredness, January sadness and worrying NYE flashbacks we're all faced with today, the return of Celebrity Big Brother tonight has been our shining beacon of hope.
The full line-up has FINALLY been revealed and it looks bloody fantastic (RAY J IS GOING IN, PEOPLE), but one contestant we'd been sure was heading to the Borehamwood Bungalow is Jody Latham – who was absent from the complete list.
You may remember Jody as Lip Gallagher from Shameless, and he was also on Waterloo Road (WE MISS WATERLOO ROAD) at some point, we think (who wasn't?).
It was reported that Jody was going in to leave his troubled past behind him after he was cleared of harassing former Apprentice candidate Adam Hoosker last year.
A source told The Sun Online last month: "Jody hasn’t had it easy this year and after a series of dramas he wants people to remember him for good things again."
"He was one of the nation’s most promising actors during his time on Shameless and he’s hoping he’ll be able to recreate that success again after going on CBB."
But a source has now told the paper: "He told other housemates he was pulling out a couple of days ago."
BUT apparently he was never actually signed up for the show in the first place, his spokesperson saying: "Jody was never even signed up to do CBB so I have no idea where this story has come from."
Well. That clears that up?
This comes after Speidi allegedly threatened to quit CBB in a row over fish and chips.
Yep.
According to the Daily Star, they told bosses they'd pull out the show unless they were given a regular supply of the food.
Erm. Do they not know how CBB works?
A source said: "We’re hours away from launch and now Speidi have thrown a spanner in the works."
