Chris Martin gave an impromptu gig in India’s capital city yesterday and it went down a storm.

The Coldplay star was in Delhi with actress Frieda Pinto to support the Global Poverty Project. But, after having dinner with Indian music star Vishal Dadlani – Chris was feeling inspired and decided he wanted to get up on stage and play some of his band’s biggest hits. As you do.

“We were at a dinner together, and he just went 'let's go play somewhere'! And, boom!” Vishal told her Twitter followers. He later added: More jam, less gig. Chris did all the work, though. People were going apeshit.”

DON'T MISS

We bet they were. Vishal shared a video of the gig, at The Summerhouse Café on Facebook and YouTube and told fans: “We hit gold and ended up being witness to the first ever performance by Chris Martin (Coldplay) in our neighbourhood.

“It was a fun, intimate and impromptu gig, with genuine shock and awe visible on the faces of all those present. He sang three numbers, with much prompting from the small but noisy crowd: Viva la Vida, Fix You and Paradise.”
