Ferne McCann has had a tough few weeks since it was revealed her former boyfriend Arthur Collins was linked to an acid attack at a London nightclub. She then confirmed she was pregnant with Arthur's child shortly after he was arrested in connection with the attack.
Ferne's This Morning collegue Phillip Schofield recently confirmed that she will be returning to the show today, breaking her silence on her ex's arrest and talking about her pregnancy.
"Speaking for the first time since her ex-boyfriend’s arrest, pregnant Ferne McCann tells us how she’s preparing for life as a single mum," Phil explained as yesterday's show came to an end.
However, while she prepares for her welcome return to daytime TV, it's also been reported that the former TOWIE star has lost out on a 'lucrative' new deal as a result of her links to the acid attack.
According to The Sun, a source explained: "She was in serious consideration for a new project but its been dropped now. The general bad publicity about the case has meant it just wasn’t the right time."
Since Arthur's arrest, Ferne has deleted all traces of him from her social media and released a statement that revealed that she is planning to raise her child on her own.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Ferne's rep explained: "Ferne is grateful for the sympathetic way news of her pregnancy has been covered and people's support and obviously her first concern is for her child's health.
"Accordingly she does not wish to discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain that Ferne is currently under."
